In Country Value (ICV)

OSS fully supports the national In-Country Value (ICV) program and the Ministry of Oil and Gas (MOG) formation of an ICV Committee. The company has embedded ICV into its own business planning model, with particular reference to its major projects to contribute to the socioeconomic development of the Sultanate of Oman and raise opportunities. Moreover, OSS acknowledges that further efforts are needed to stimulate the development of ICV to actively support the country’s ambition to achieve its objectives.

Omanization

Since the commencement of operations, the company has consistently managed to increase the employment of Omani nationals at different levels of the organization, thereby contributing to human capability development and stimulate productivity in Oman’s economy

Training

OSS supports technical colleges and universities for industrial training of students at our factory, the following institutes being regular senders of their students:
• Sultan Qaboos University
• Shinas College of Engineering
• Sohar University
• Nizwa University
• Caledonian College
All training programs are done in-house at our training center by qualified personnel.

Local Manufacturing & Assemblies

In support of ICV objectives, manufacturing and services take a priority in OSS by maximizing local production and assemblies in Oman. Depending on their field of expertise, these companies get invited to participate in tenders related to goods and services. In fact, every OSS field site has both SME and LLC companies providing locally manufactured and assembled goods and services.
